Contributes to therapeutic area strategy, business plans, and operational execution aligned with Fortrea’s global vision and commercial objectives.
Provides medical and scientific leadership to support business development and growth across assigned therapeutic areas.
Ensures delivery and oversight of MedSci activities in compliance with quality, regulatory, and safety requirements.
Supports process excellence and continuous improvement initiatives across Medical and Scientific functions.
Represents Fortrea’s medical and scientific capabilities in client engagements, proposals, bid defenses, and industry forums.
Builds and maintains strong client, investigator, and KOL relationships.
Partners with Business Development and Marketing to identify growth opportunities and technical differentiation.
Provides mentoring and leadership support to Medical Directors and Associate Medical Directors.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications (Minimum Required)
MD (or equivalent medical degree) with residency training or relevant specialization.
Substantial knowledge of global drug development and clinical research.
Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirements.
Experience (Minimum Required)
8+ years of experience in global drug development (pharma, biotech, or CRO); typically 10+ years overall.
Demonstrated leadership experience within medical or scientific organizations.
Strong strategic thinking and cross-functional collaboration capability.
Work Environment & Travel
Home- or office-based with flexibility to support global clients across time zones.
Travel: Expected travel includes annual trips to the US and flexible travel within APAC.
