Led by a team of experienced professionals, the group serves as lead arranger and administrative agent in the structuring and distribution of syndicated credit facilities. Loan Syndications provides customized structuring ideas and meaningful market color tailored to the specific financing requirements of our clients and prospects on a best-efforts and fully underwritten basis. The team can structure transactions on either a cash flow multiple/enterprise value or asset-covered basis across a multitude of sectors and leverage thresholds. Loan Syndications partners closely with Middle Market Private Credit and Leveraged Finance to pitch complex debt structures including unitranche facilities, first-lien/junior-lien facilities, mezzanine debt, institutional Term Loan B and high yield bonds.

Executive Directors are responsible for new deal origination and the execution of all live mandates. This includes the generation of meaningful, tailored client solutions which fit within an appropriate credit and market framework. Executive Directors are expected to work directly with coverage bankers to identify a reasonable addressable market and hold themselves and the firm accountable to driving client increasingly relevant dialogue.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide concise direction with respect to client materials to be generated by the team’s junior resources

  • Manage client and sponsor communications, servicing as the primary point of contact through the pitch, mandate, marketing and closing stages

  • Partner with coverage bankers to develop and execute calling strategies

  • Work directly with clients to coordinate business and financial due diligence to address internal credit questions

  • Lead required desk teach-ins as part of a consistent partnership with syndicate and sales & trading

  • Evaluate corporate capitalization and debt maturities to develop recommendations on structure and timing

  • Oversee and comment on all marketing materials, confidential information memoranda, management presentations, and other presentations as needed

  • Lead legal calls pertaining to the drafting of engagement papers, commitment documents and credit agreements

  • Communicate effectively with all members of the team, including the supervision, mentoring and development of analysts and associates

Basic Qualifications:

  • Advanced knowledge of accounting and finance

  • Strong analytical/technical and qualitative abilities

  • Strong financial and computer skills (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Undergraduate degree

  • 10+ years of Investment Banking experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA, CPA, CFA or other professional designations preferred but not required

  • FINRA Series 79 and 63 licenses preferred; If unlicensed, registration must be completed within a designated period following the date of hire

  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with internal partners and external clients Excellent public speaking and presentation skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple project deliverables simultaneously
