This company provides high-quality legal services across various practice areas, including corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, and intellectual property. Their client base includes early-stage startups and established corporations, making them a key player in the venture capital ecosystem.

What You Will Do

• Advise emerging growth companies on entity formation, corporate governance, and organizational structuring.
• Represent startups and founders in seed, Series A, and later-stage venture capital financings.
• Counsel venture capital and private equity clients on fund formation and portfolio investments.
• Draft, review, and negotiate critical transaction documents such as term sheets and stock purchase agreements.
• Support mergers and acquisitions involving emerging companies, ensuring compliance and strategic alignment.
• Advise clients on equity compensation plans and employee benefits matters.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to deliver integrated legal solutions and manage client relationships.

Ideal Candidate Background

• 4 to 8 years of relevant legal experience, ideally at a top-tier law firm with a focus on emerging companies and venture capital.
• Demonstrated experience advising startups and venture capital investors on financings and corporate transactions.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills across a broad range of venture and corporate documents.
• Deep understanding of the venture capital ecosystem, including deal structures and investor dynamics.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex legal concepts for clients.

Preferred

• Experience leading transactions and interfacing directly with founders, CEOs, and boards.
• Strong academic pedigree and the ability to operate autonomously in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary for this role ranges from $310K to $435K, commensurate with experience. This company offers a hybrid work schedule and a clear path for growth and partnership for high performers.
