The Position

The opportunity

As the Ecosystem Enabler, you are a member of the Affiliate Enabling Team and shape how Roche Central Asia delivers impact across the portfolio. You connect strategy to execution across three Disease Areas, strengthen customer engagement and digital/omnichannel excellence, and build the capabilities and operating model that enable high performance.

You role model an agile leadership stance (VACC: Visionary, Architect, Catalyst, Coach)—creating clarity of direction, enabling empowered teams, and accelerating learning and performance. You operate with an enterprise mindset, navigate ambiguity with confidence, and partner closely across functions and countries to ensure disciplined execution and sustainable outcomes for patients and the healthcare system.

Key responsibilities

Strategy, outcomes and performance

• Co-create, with the Affiliate Enabling Team, the affiliate’s near- and long-term strategic direction and translate it into clear outcomes, priorities and execution plans.
• Lead integrated portfolio planning across the three Disease Areas to ensure coherence, focus, and disciplined delivery.
• Ensure responsible resource and budget stewardship, enabling the highest-impact opportunities and sustainable execution.
• Establish and maintain fit-for-purpose governance, planning routines and performance reviews to drive execution quality.

Disease Area leadership

• Provide strategic direction and enable execution across the affiliate’s three Disease Areas (end-to-end: strategy, customer engagement approach, and delivery through squads/teams).
• Ensure disease area strategies are insight-led and differentiated, with clear choices on priorities, target segments and value communication.
• Drive alignment across Disease Areas on shared capabilities, ways of working, and cross-portfolio opportunities.

Customer engagement and digital/omnichannel enablement

• Strengthen customer engagement by streamlining touchpoints and improving end-to-end experience for key audiences (HCPs, payers, patients, partners).
• Lead the affiliate’s digital/omnichannel strategy and execution, ensuring coordinated, measurable, customer-relevant content and initiatives.
• Drive data- and insights-led decision making by leading analysis of trends, customer insights, and performance indicators that inform priorities and improve effectiveness.

Ecosystem shaping and external partnerships

• Lead and coordinate participation in national and regional healthcare programs/projects aligned with public health priorities and Roche’s commitments.
• Build trusted partnerships and engage with key stakeholders (health authorities, payers/funds, NGOs, partners) on strategic and project-related topics.

Leadership, capability building and culture

• Lead, develop and empower leaders and teams across the three Disease Areas and Digital/Omnichannel capability.
• Act as an agile leader (VACC): set direction (Visionary), shape fit-for-purpose structures and routines (Architect), unlock energy and momentum (Catalyst), and develop people and capabilities (Coach).
• Create an environment of trust, accountability and collaboration across squads/chapters/functions, enabling high-performing, self-managed teams.
• Enable timely decisions on cross-ecosystem topics where alignment is needed, ensuring clarity on priorities, ownership and ways of working.
• Drive talent attraction and development, succession planning, rotations and recognition across the ecosystem.
• Ensure compliance, integrity and engagement are embedded in how business is delivered—always.

Requirements

Education

• University degree in medical, scientific, or business field; MBA and/or advanced life science degree preferred.

Experience

• 8+ years in pharmaceutical commercial/affiliate leadership roles (or equivalent), including 3+ years of people leadership.
• Proven experience shaping and driving portfolio and customer engagement strategies across multiple brands/disease areas.
• Strong understanding of Central Asian healthcare systems, market dynamics, and stakeholder landscape.
• Demonstrated success partnering with senior external stakeholders (health authorities, payers, patient organizations, NGOs).

Skills

• Excellent communication, facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills; able to prioritize in a fast-paced, multi-country environment.
• Fluent in English and Russian.
