Main Purpose of the Role
The successful applicant’s role will be to support and encourage students, helping them to enjoy and make the most of the learning opportunities offered by the school. More specifically, they will teach economics and/or Business Management across a range of high school programmes. Teaching assignments may include IB Economics, IB Business Management, iGCSE Economics, AP Micro/Macroeconomics, or other similar courses taught in the high school. They may be allocated a homeroom advisory role, thereby assisting the pastoral team by leading an advisory class and being the first point of contact for the families of his/her advisees.

Qualifications required
• University degree in Economics, Business or a related discipline
• Recognised teaching qualification
Preferred
• Master’s degree in Economics, Business, Education, or a related discipline
Experience required
• Previous experience of teaching Economics or Business at High School level, including at least one of the following : IGCSE, AP, IB. IB would be preferred
Preferred
• Previous experience in an international school setting
• Experience teaching AP Micro/Macroeconomics, IB Economics, IB Business, IGCSE Economics and/or Swiss Maturité Economics
• Experience in supervising IBDP Extended Essays
• Experience as an IB examiner, IGCSE examiner and/or AP reader
Prior Skills and Knowledge
• ICT literacy, both with educational tools and mainstream software
• English mother tongue or equivalent fluency; a working knowledge of French is an asset
