About the Role

The Ecommerce Promotion Specialist is responsible for the end-to-end execution, optimization, and operational management of promotional campaigns across Sally Beauty ecommerce channels. This role ensures promotions are accurately configured, tested, launched, and maintained across web, mobile, and app experiences while balancing business objectives, customer experience, and operational excellence.

Serving as a key partner to Merchandising, Marketing, Creative, Technology, and Customer Service teams, this position evaluates requirements, identifies execution risks, resolves issues, and recommends improvements to promotional performance. Through a combination of ecommerce operations, analytics, and cross-functional collaboration, the Ecommerce Promotion Specialist helps drive conversion, customer engagement, and sales growth while maintaining a seamless customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end operational execution of assigned ecommerce promotions from intake through launch validation and post-campaign review.
  • Review promotional requirements and determine appropriate setup strategies, ensuring business rules, timing, eligibility criteria, and customer experience standards are met.
  • Configure, maintain, and optimize promotions within Salesforce Commerce Cloud and related ecommerce platforms.
  • Establish execution priorities based on business impact, launch deadlines, dependencies, customer considerations, and operational risk.
  • Communicate launch readiness, risks, corrective actions, and key decisions to stakeholders across the organization.
  • Lead quality assurance testing and launch validation across web, mobile, and app channels to ensure promotion accuracy and functionality.
  • Determine when promotions meet established standards for launch and delay release when quality expectations or business requirements are not met.
  • Serve as the primary operational owner for promotion-related issues, troubleshooting and resolving customer experience, product eligibility, and configuration challenges.
  • Escalate issues related to financial exposure, policy concerns, system defects, or governance risks when necessary.
  • Analyze campaign performance, customer engagement, operational defects, and feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Conduct post-promotion reviews and recommend enhancements to promotional strategies, workflows, controls, and customer experiences.
  • Develop and maintain operational documentation, best practices, checklists, and process standards.
  • Partner with Merchandising, Marketing, Creative, Ecommerce, Customer Service, Site Operations, and Technology teams to align priorities and ensure successful campaign execution.
  • Support special projects and other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Ecommerce, Merchandising, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in ecommerce operations, digital merchandising, pricing, promotions, or related ecommerce functions.
  • Experience working within Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) and other ecommerce platforms.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs, formulas, and data analysis.
  • Strong attention to detail with a high degree of ownership and accountability.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence partners across the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess risks, solve problems, and make sound business decisions within established guidelines.
  • Experience partnering across Merchandising, Marketing, Creative, Technology, and Customer Service teams.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

This will be a hybrid role required to be onsite at the corporate office on specified days. The work environment generally involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, retail stores, and residences or commercial vehicles, e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lit, heated, and ventilated.

The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work. However, there may be some walking, standing, bending, and occasional lifting or carrying of office equipment and materials.
