At the heart of our continued success is over 115,000 team members working across the country, all contributing to bringing our customers smiles. You’ll not only get to see your work make a difference, you’ll be part of a team working together to help Australians eat and live better every day.

About the team

As the way we shop continues to evolve, our Digital team keeps us at the cutting edge. Driven by our innovative, inclusive, and forward-thinking culture, we’re constantly looking at ways to create differentiated, omni-channel experiences for our customers and build the next generation of digital retailing.

About the Team

Our Coles Digital Network Design team works across eCommerce, supply chain, property and operations to shape how online orders are fulfilled and delivered - from stores and automated fulfilment nodes through to last mile and Click & Collect.

About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Manager Network Design, you'll lead the ongoing evolution of Coles Digital's eCommerce network strategy, translate enterprise strategy into network design roadmaps, and support regular network review and planning. Your insights will inform executive decisions and capital prioritisation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading our online network strategy across in-store and automated fulfilment nodes, transport lanes and Click & Collect.
  • Developing end-to-end network scenarios across fulfilment, linehaul, cross-docking and last mile, balancing capacity, service, cost-to-serve and resilience.
  • Providing strategic and tactical recommendations for executive decisions, capital prioritisation, catchment changes and service improvements.
  • Partnering with Finance on business cases for new facilities, automation, capacity expansions and major transport initiatives.
  • Aligning stakeholders across location planning, network development, property, operations, customer propositions, last mile and store optimisation.
  • Building network strategy capability through frameworks, benchmarking, playbooks and coaching, while bringing competitor insights into planning.

About You and Your Skills

  • At least 3 years' experience in network strategy, supply planning, network design or a similar role, ideally in eCommerce or large retail.
  • Strategy or consulting experience in supply chain/network design is highly regarded; grocery eCommerce fulfilment or last-mile operational experience is desirable.
  • Strong end-to-end supply chain knowledge, including middle mile logistics, freight and distribution centre fulfilment.
  • Advanced network optimisation/design capability using tools such as Coupa Supply Chain Guru, AIMMS or mixed-integer/linear programming.
  • Strong analytical and visualisation skills, including advanced Excel and Power BI or Tableau; ArcGIS experience is a bonus.
  • Excellent data storytelling and executive communication skills, with the ability to influence without authority in complex organisations.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Operations Research or a related discipline.

Please note, applications close on Sunday September 6th.
