We’re an action-oriented, fast-paced organisation and we like to have fun along the way. We’re looking for people who can grow with Macs and grow with us on our journey to become the world’s leading active travel company. It’s not the easy route and we’re looking for people who enjoy challenges, love learning, want to make an impact and align with our core values:

· Love the journey: A Macs trip is all about the journey, not the destination. We are all believers in Macs’ unique brand of self-guided, active travel and shout about it. As more travellers convert to the Macs Way, we accept our business will grow and change. We welcome new connections, and embrace to new opportunities. Carpe diem!

We ask ourselves: is what I’m doing authentically Macs?

· Tread thoughtfully: We are considerate, empathetic and try to put ourselves in our customers’, suppliers’ and each other’s shoes. We support local, and find ways of having less negative impact on the planet. We find ways of having positive impact on people and communities. We are fair, and we do the right thing.

· Go the extra mile: We know that creating a perfect #MacsMoment involves going that bit further. We imagine the best feedback we can get and set out to earn it. We take ownership and accountability – it’s yours, not someone else’s, problem. We step up and help our team mates when they need us.

What you’ll do;

Merchandising is how we turn a strong product range into trips customers actually find and book. As Regional Merchandising Manager, you'll own that for our UK source markets - improving how trips get surfaced and discovered across the journey, and lifting regional conversion, engagement and revenue.

The role is broad. It spans commercial analysis, onsite optimisation and working across teams, and you'll have the autonomy to spot opportunities and act on them.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Owning regional merchandising performance across UK source markets, accountable for conversion, engagement, revenue and commercial outcomes.

  • Optimising onsite product discovery (navigation, search, filters, product listings and merchandising placements) so customers find the right trip faster.

  • Spotting market, product and pricing opportunities using customer behaviour, search trends and performance data.

  • Supporting pricing and positioning decisions that improve competitiveness, customer value and margin.

  • Influencing portfolio prioritisation through regional market insight and commercial analysis.

  • Partnering with Product, Operations, Marketing, Sales and Finance to align supply, demand and customer experience.

  • Driving continuous optimisation, contributing to the testing roadmap and delivering measurable uplift from your changes.

In your first year, you'll:

  • First 3 months: get under the skin of regional trip, destination and category performance, and build a clear view of where the biggest opportunities sit.

  • Months 3 to 6: start shipping merchandising and discovery improvements, with early measurable uplift in conversion and engagement.

  • Months 6 to 12: own a live testing roadmap, embed merchandising best practice across the region, and show sustained contribution to ABV.

What you’ll bring;

· Experience in ecommerce, digital merchandising or commercial optimisation, with a track record of using data and customer insight to drive commercial decisions.

· A strong grasp of ecommerce merchandising: navigation, search, filtering and product visibility.

· Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, and real comfort working with performance data.

· The ability to read customer behaviour (product views, search activity, engagement) and turn it into action.

· Confidence working across teams with several stakeholders to get things done.

· Someone who thrives with a high degree of autonomy. We work in a squads and tribes model where you'll own your area, set your own priorities and be trusted to run with them, so you'll need to be self-directed and comfortable making the call without waiting to be told.

· Comfort in a fast-paced, commercial environment where priorities shift.

· A commercial mindset paired with curiosity about customer behaviour, and the ability to balance strategy with hands-on execution.

Not essential, it would be a bonus if you have;

· Experience in active travel, specialist tours or tailor-made/FIT travel

· International or multi-market portfolio exposure

· Experience in scale-up or high-growth environments

The knowledge and skills we’ve listed represent “the perfect candidate”. No one’s perfectand we know the ‘confidence gap’ can stop brilliant people applying. If you love the sound of this opportunity please apply, we’d love to hear from you.

You could belong here;
