Job Description
Ecommerce Growth Manager
Position Type: Full-Time, Remote
Working Hours: AEST Business Hours
About the Role
We're hiring an Ecommerce Growth Manager to take ownership of the entire digital growth engine for a fast-growing ecommerce brand.
This is not a creative role. The creative team already handles ad design, email creative, imagery, and copywriting. Your responsibility is to take those assets and make them perform.
This role sits at the intersection of paid media, ecommerce strategy, conversion rate optimization, retention marketing, and technical SEO. You'll be responsible for improving how customers are acquired, converted, and retained across every digital touchpoint.
We're looking for someone who thinks like a growth operator rather than a channel specialist. Someone who understands that performance marketing doesn't stop at generating traffic—it extends through the website experience, purchase journey, and customer retention strategy.
You'll work directly with the Directors and play a critical role in driving revenue growth through data-driven decision-making and continuous optimization.
What You'll Be Doing
Paid Media Management
- Own and manage Meta Ads and Google Ads accounts end-to-end.
- Build campaign structures, audience strategies, budgets, bidding models, and testing frameworks.
- Upload and manage creative assets provided by the internal creative team.
- Develop audience segments including custom audiences, lookalikes, retargeting pools, and exclusions.
- Implement, audit, and troubleshoot tracking systems including Pixels, Conversion APIs, and event tracking.
- Conduct ongoing performance analysis and proactively implement improvements to increase ROAS and reduce CPA.
- Manage budget allocation and scaling decisions across channels.
Ecommerce & Conversion Rate Optimization
- Own ongoing optimization of the Shopify storefront.
- Improve landing pages, product pages, collections, checkout flows, and mobile experiences.
- Identify conversion bottlenecks through data analysis and customer behavior insights.
- Implement straightforward theme-level improvements directly within Shopify.
- Work with developers on more advanced Shopify changes when required.
- Present recommendations and growth opportunities to leadership before implementation.
- Use analytics and behavioral tools to improve conversion rates, average order value, and customer experience.
Retention Marketing
- Own performance analysis and optimization of email marketing programs.
- Manage customer segmentation, lifecycle campaigns, and automated flows in Klaviyo.
- Upload creative assets and configure campaigns using materials provided by the creative team.
- Improve engagement, deliverability, click-through rates, and revenue attribution.
- Continuously identify opportunities to increase customer retention and repeat purchases.
Technical SEO
- Conduct technical SEO audits and implement improvements.
- Manage indexing, crawl issues, schema markup, structured data, and site health.
- Optimize metadata, site architecture, internal linking, and content structure.
- Monitor search performance through Google Search Console and analytics platforms.
- Identify opportunities to improve organic visibility and search performance.
Analytics & Reporting
- Monitor performance across paid media, ecommerce, retention, and SEO channels.
- Analyze customer acquisition, conversion, and retention metrics.
- Deliver comprehensive monthly performance reports with insights and recommendations.
- Identify opportunities for growth based on data rather than assumptions.
- Translate findings into clear action plans that improve business performance.
What Makes You a Strong Fit
- You understand the entire ecommerce funnel, not just individual marketing channels.
- You think like a growth operator and can connect acquisition, conversion, and retention strategies.
- You are highly analytical and enjoy solving performance problems through data.
- You can identify opportunities independently and execute improvements without constant direction.
- You are equally comfortable inside ad platforms, Shopify, Klaviyo, and analytics tools.
- You focus on measurable business outcomes rather than marketing activity.
