Job Description

The eCommerce & Customer Marketing Senior Analyst is a key member of the eCommerce and customer marketing team, responsible for analyzing business performance, identifying the drivers of results, and translating data into clear, actionable recommendations that support growth across retailers and internal partners. This role requires strong analytical ownership, learning agility, and comfort working across multiple datasets, systems, and cross-functional stakeholders. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can work through ambiguity, build clear stories from complex data, and independently own recurring performance tracking and business routines. In addition to analytics, this role also supports critical executional processes that help campaigns and programs launch accurately and on time.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Lead analysis of eCommerce business performance, shopper marketing campaigns, customer marketing initiatives, and investment effectiveness to identify the drivers and drags of performance and recommend actions to improve results
  • Build, maintain, and enhance recurring scorecards and reporting routines to track eCommerce KPIs, campaign performance, investment analytics, and Perfect Screen execution for Target and ADUSA
  • Synthesize customer, consumer, retailer, and internal data into clear business stories with strong “so what” and “now what” recommendations for internal and external stakeholders
  • Identify performance trends, root causes, risks, and opportunities to support optimization and stronger digital and customer recommendations
  • Own campaign and program documentation, including planned tactics, budgets, in-market assets, performance results, and key learnings, while coordinating routines that help teams share learnings and drive action
  • Partner with internal cross-functional teams, agencies, vendors, retailers, and Retail Media Networks to support execution, performance management, and continuous improvement
  • Support development of holistic digital strategy by surfacing insights and contributing thought leadership that shapes customer and business recommendations
  • Manage and troubleshoot invoicing and bill-payment workflows across centralized bill pay teams, vendors, retailers, agencies, and Retail Media Networks to ensure timely and accurate payments
  • Adapt national brand creative and marketing plans to customer-specific needs in partnership with internal teams and agency partners
  • Support Senior Managers with business planning and day-to-day execution, including budget tracking, customer-facing slides, media and brand meeting preparation, and other business support as needed

Expected Experience & Required Skills:

  • Strong analytical foundation with experience using Excel/Sheets and other reporting or dashboard tools to analyze performance and turn data into clear business insights and recommendations
  • Demonstrated ability to independently analyze sales, eCommerce, campaign, or customer performance data and identify root causes, opportunities, and actions, not just summarize metrics
  • Proven ability to own recurring reporting, performance tracking, or campaign analysis with a high level of independence, accuracy, and follow-through
  • Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality work across internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to simplify complex data into a clear and actionable narrative
  • Comfortable learning new systems, datasets, retailers, and business processes quickly and applying that learning effectively
  • High ownership mindset with strong attention to detail, organization, and proactive problem-solving
  • Balances accuracy with speed, flags risks early, and keeps stakeholders aligned
  • Comfortable representing the eCommerce and customer marketing team internally across Sales, Category Leadership, Finance, Marketing, agencies, and customer-facing partners
  • Experience in CPG, retail, eCommerce, syndicated data (Nielsen and IRI), customer marketing, and/or retail media is a plus
  • Experience calling on Target and ADUSA is strongly preferred
  • Experience with invoicing, budget tracking, or program documentation is a plus, especially when paired with analytical ownership

Work Environment & Schedule:

  • Remote-based role performed from a home office
  • Preference for candidates based in Charlotte, Minneapolis, or Chicago due to business connectivity
