Job Description

The ECO Planner will be 100% responsible for Bill of Material management for North America, including driving Engineering Change Order management/implementation and acting as the Change Coordination Board leader for the team. Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials (from suppliers and also within departments) according to production schedules. Plan and schedule material/production needs. Functions with some autonomy but guided by established policies or review of end results.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Track released projects in SAP and PLM
  • Coordinates the release of Engineering changes from PLM Engineering to Scheduling for Projects
  • Weekly BOM Configuration/Review Coordinator, including acting as the CCB Meeting stakeholder for approval of engineering changes affecting Longmont projects.
  • Reviews material master in SAP to make sure the parts are created/push thru correctly in SAP.
  • Engineering Change Coordinator – Track Engineering Change Orders through release and coordinate with Material Planners to ensure timely cut-in and coordinate cut-in plans with affected organizations; Kick-off parts activations as needed
  • Ensure Change Order releases to production are correctly are done timely and accurate.
  • Coordinate the creation of, and update as required, the forecast planning BOMs, including phantoms with accurate allocations to reflect correct demand
  • Coordinate split-scope projects with affected organizations
  • Transfer Engineering release BOMs from PLM/Enovia to SAP forming manufacturing kits and replacing specific components, activating BOMs in ERP for needed organizations (Planning and Manufacturing).
  • Review process improvements to ensure BOM and project accuracy.
  • Uses some judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in sourcing, engineering or manufacturing
  • PLM / SAP ERP knowledge.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business Supply Chain experience
  • SAP Purchasing / Planning system experience
  • Strong Attention to Detail
  • Program management skills with Horizontal teams
  • Strong interpersonal communications, and negotiation skills with ability to influence at all levels of internal customers and suppliers.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills; strong PC and database management skills
  • Ability to work well under tight deadlines and frequently changing priorities
  • Black Belt / Green Belt certified or quality certification
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration

The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
