Our physician led medical group enjoys an excellent reputation with patients and the medical community, offering primary care, urgent care and more than 30 different specialties.

Performs and assists with a variety of echocardiographic tests and other related duties, working under limited supervision to ensure high quality diagnostic studies. Reports to the manager of Non-Invasive Cardiology Services.

  • Produce echocardiograms that satisfy the laboratory protocols for standard transthoracic imaging and for special conditions including valvular heart disease, stress echocardiography, 3D echocardiography and strain imaging.
  • Participates fully in all the routine procedures within the laboratory, including transesophageal echo, stress echo, and structural heart disease cases
  • Identify studies which require vetting for appropriateness. When present, recognizes true cardiac emergencies, including cardiac tamponade, aortic dissection, and acute valvular regurgitation. Uses contrast for appropriate indications
  • Has facility with a full variety of special indications, including patients with ventricular assist devices (LVAD and RVAD), Impella pumps, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO).
  • Performs echocardiograms on patients participating in clinical trials according to the prescribed protocol

Qualifications

  • Associates/Bachelor's Degree in Health Care.
  • One year previous echo experience.
  • Two years echo experience in a hospital setting preferred
  • RCS by CCI or RDCS by ARDMS
