This position is split equally between Geneva General Hospital, Geneva NY and Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital in Penn Yan, NY
Under the clinical direction of the Cardiology Coordinator, the Cardiac & Vascular Sonographer performs cardiac ultrasound and/or vascular ultrasound procedures in accordance with established policies and procedures. This role conducts patient interviews, performs diagnostic studies, makes preliminary assessments of test data, and prepares studies for physician interpretation. The sonographer works closely with physicians and the Cardiology Coordinator to ensure accurate, high-quality, and timely test results. The sonographer provides care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Qualifications
Minimum:
Completion of training at an AMA-approved school in Ultrasound
Preferred:
Bachelor of Science degree
Registered Specialist (Ultrasound) with an additional year of training at an AMA-approved program
As required by New York State and departmental standards
Minimum:
BLS certification required through the RQI system during clinical orientation
RCS or RDCS credentialed
Registry eligible in cardiac ultrasound
Minimum:
Two years of cardiac and/or vascular ultrasound experience
Preferred:
Arrhythmia experience
