Echocardiograph Technologist

Sign-On Bonus Up To $30K

The Technologist, under the direction of a Cardiologist, performs echocardiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision, as well as other duties as assigned. This requires independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative to apply non-ionizing high-frequency ultrasonic waves for a cardiographic diagnosis, whether scheduled or emergent. He/she will participate in the clinical activities, including call, within the imaging areas of Echocardiography, Surgery, Mobile Unit, and Nursing Units. The

A technologist must know and adhere to the principles of Echocardiography, including technical factors, equipment function, transducer selection, patient care, safety, anddocumentation, and be able to perform these functions efficiently to providehigh-quality, patient-oriented services.

Must-Haves:

• Must have successfully completed a formal training program or equivalent in Echocardiography and demonstrate the ability to complete competency in Echocardiography
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
• National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography within 1 year of hire, or
• National Certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International within 1 year of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 6 months of experience
