ChristianaCare, is looking for a Part-Time Echo Technologist Assistant who will utilize our core values of Love & Excellence to provide the highest level of care to our patients.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

  • To perform duties alongside of the Sonographers, CV nurses, and Cardiologists. Provide patient care and assist technical staff with imaging procedures.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Scanning patients under the supervision of a staff Cardiac Sonographer.
  • Assist with escorting of patients to and from Non-Invasive Lab.
  • Prepare imaging rooms for procedures, ability to turn around rooms for high volume needs.
  • Assist Lead Sonographer in organizing the daily patient schedule including setting up transportation to department.
  • Assist Lead Sonographer with creating and maintaining physician on-call schedules.
  • Prepares Definity Contrast.
  • Cleans and disinfects TEE probes after use.
  • Ordering of supplies for Echo lab.
  • Ability to use CV supported software, including but not limited to Power Chart, Ascend, Soarian, I-Site, and other Cerner products.
  • Requests and obtains medical records in preparation for patient’s exams.
  • Schedule’s routine and complex CV procedures.
  • Ability to burn CDs/ DVDs copies of CV procedures for outside requests.
  • Assists Lead Sonographer with information maintaining / collection for IAC re-accreditation..
  • Performs other related duties as required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Senior second year student in an Echo/Vasc. Training Program.
  • Two years related to medical environment experience preferred.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.

Hourly Pay Range: $18.19 - $26.37This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
