Busy Bees Whau Valley are on the hunt for a Registerd Teacher to join our team. We offer both a supportive national network, whilst being part of a close-knit supportive team. Together, we nurture tuakana-teina relationships and encourage active exploration in our engaging outdoor spaces, all within a team culture grounded in strong relationships and shared support.

The Opportunity | Te Āheinga

  • Provide high quality care and education for tamariki enrolled at the centre.

  • Plan and guide the developmental journey of each tamaiti using Te Whāriki as a foundation.

  • Implement the curriculum while bringing your own creative ideas to the daily programme.

  • Build strong and authentic relationships with families and whānau.

  • Maintain a high standard of physical care and hygiene throughout the day.

  • Foster a welcoming and co-operative working atmosphere with the rest of the team.

  • Engage in ongoing professional development to keep your practice current and transformative.

  • Ensure the physical, emotional, and cultural needs of every child are met through a supportive environment.

About You | Mōu

  • Holds a Level 7 ECE or Primary qualification and current registration. Values child led discovery and pedagogical excellence in their practice.

  • Builds warm and approachable relationships with whānau and tamariki.

  • Honours Te Tiriti o Waitangi through inclusive and equitable mahi.

  • Brings plenty of initiative and a proactive energy to the centre.

  • Acts with professional integrity and respect for our multicultural community.

  • Embraces continuous learning and a reflective professional journey.

  • Leads with professional integrity and drives a culture of continuous improvement and collaborative mahi.
