Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and like-minded Emergency and Critical Care Nurse to join our dynamic team on a Full-time basis!

In this role, you will provide exceptional nursing care to critically ill and emergency patients, working in a fast-paced environment where every shift presents new challenges and learning opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to emergency and critical care patients, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
  • Assist veterinarians during diagnostic procedures, treatments, and surgeries, upholding the highest standards of patient care
  • Monitor and manage patient conditions, including post-operative care, and respond to emergencies efficiently
  • Communicate effectively with the veterinary team, pet owners, and specialists to ensure seamless patient care
  • Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and follow-up care
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment, supporting colleagues and participating in continuous learning opportunities

Qualifications and Experience we are looking for:

  • Qualification: Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent) is essential
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency or critical care setting preferred
  • Skills: Strong technical nursing skills, including venipuncture, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, and emergency response
  • Flexibility: Ability to work across a 24/7 roster, adapting to the dynamic nature of emergency and critical care
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure and in a team
  • Team Player: A positive attitude with a strong commitment to providing the best possible care for our patients
