Emergency & Critical Care Veterinary Nurse | ARH Essendon | Casual, Part-time, Full-time

Are you cool under pressure and thrive in trauma and emergency medicine? If you're an experienced GP nurse or ECC nurse looking to take your career to the next level, we want to hear from you!

ARH is well equipped with CT, MRI, digital radiology, ultrasound, endoscope, in-house laboratory, ventilators, patient monitors and sophisticated emergency and surgical facilities. ARH utilises fully integrated Rx works software and operates with Smartflow electronic hospital charting. We also have the added advantage of internal referral to our associate specialist departments in surgery, medicine, and advanced imaging.

We currently have Casual, Part-time, and Full-time Hours available in our nursing team, our nurses are highly valued and encouraged to utilise their skills and work autonomously to support our specialist veterinarians in providing exceptional patient care. Nurses also have access to regular free in-house continuing education sessions to develop their existing skillset and knowledge.

What You’ll Do:

  • Triage and admit emergency patients
  • Provide direct care for critically ill patients
  • Perform diagnostics, treatments, and anaesthesia
  • Monitor and record patient care accurately
  • Liaise with staff and clients

What We’re Looking For:

  • Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing with 2+ years of clinical experience
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Interest in ECC and a proactive, positive attitude
  • Experience in emergency/specialist hospitals is a bonus but not essential!
