Job Description

Are you a nurse wanting to further your knowledge and experience in Emergency and Critical Care? Or are you ready to make the move from GP to ECC?

Do you want to learn how to nurse patients with DKA, MODS, and care for a patient with GDV? Do you want to learn about nursing patients with central lines, on high-flow oxygen, on ventilators, with feeding tubes, all supported with digital systems and Smartflow?

    • RECOVER training for BLS and ALS rescuer certification.
  • Flexible rostering to achieve work-life balance, and no on-call shifts. Shift length varies from 9 hours to 12 hours including mornings, afternoons, nights, weekends, and Public Holidays. Penalties applicable to all of our shifts!

  • A well-stocked pantry to provide snacks whilst you work, fun-scrub Friday, positive team culture and lots of experienced vets and nurses to learn from, plus support from animal attendants during busy times so you can focus on using your nursing skills with patients.

Requirements:

  • Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent qualification
  • Applicants currently studying their Certificate IV will be considered
  • Proficiency in IV catheter placement, blood sampling, and anaesthesia monitoring advantageous
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations
  • A genuine passion for providing exceptional care to animals and their owners
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as part of a rotating roster
