As an Emergency and Critical Care nurse at CARE, you will work with a dedicated and knowledgeable team of experienced vets and nurses to care for the broad range of cases we see in our busy Emergency department!
Is this the perfect role you?
We are searching for a qualified Cert IV vet nurse with a minimum of 3+ years' experience. Prior ECC experience not required – we are looking for someone with a good baseline of veterinary nursing knowledge and skills, who is motivated, enthusiastic, and keen to learn.
You will not be discouraged by challenges, rather embrace them and work with the rest of the team to reach a solution, whilst learning along the way. Your continuing education is strongly encouraged through CE support, regular tutorials, and daily rounds.
You will gain exposure to a broad range of hospitalised and emergency cases, with hands-on involvement in patient care, incoming/triage cases, procedures, anaesthesia, surgery and diagnostics.
The role is available Part-time or Full-time, and we are happy to work with successful applicants to help them achieve a reasonable work-life balance. We can offer a combination of day, evening, overnight and weekend shifts.
Remuneration is generous and includes significant shift loading for all shifts lying outside of weekday daytime hours.
Your day to day will include;
Providing exceptional nursing care to critically ill and injured patients from triage through their entire CARE journey!
You’ll be working within a busy, cohesive multidisciplinary specialist team, alongside experienced nurses and specialist vets - assisting with anaesthesia/procedures and surgery, performing diagnostic sample collection and processing tests and communicating with pet owners, providing guidance, addressing their questions, and offering support during highly emotional times.
