Job Description

  • Define and own the ECAD library architecture, including data models, classification schemes, naming conventions, and attribute structures
  • Establish global library standards, guidelines, and governance rules
  • Ensure scalability, reusability, and long-term maintainability of ECAD libraries
  • Act as the central authority for architectural decisions related to ECAD libraries
  • Architect and optimize the integration between ECAD tools and surrounding systems (MCAD, PLM, component databases, ERP)
  • Define interfaces, data flows, and automation concepts for library creation and maintenance
  • Act as escalation point for complex library-related issues
  • Work closely with hardware design, component engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, and quality teams
  • Translate business and engineering requirements into sustainable library solutions
  • Influence and align stakeholders without direct line authority
Qualifications
  • Education in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong experience in ECAD environments with focus on libraries, standards, or system architecture
  • Deep hands-on experience with ECAD tools (e.g. Siemens Xpedition)
  • Proven experience designing or governing ECAD library structures and standards
  • Strong understanding of PCB design, component technologies, and manufacturing requirements
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking
  • High level of ownership and responsibility
  • Advanced English language skills
