About the Role

As a ECAD Engineer, you will manage the Harman EDM Library within Xpedition. You’ll be responsible for creating and managing cell information and symbols for different components in close cooperation with Component Engineering, Harware Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing Engineering.

What You Will Do

  • Initial creation and maintenance of the Harman EDM library cells and symbols (Xpedition)
  • Updating of EDM related information of components within PLM tool (Teamcenter) in close cooperation with part owners
  • Working with global project teams (HW engineering, Component Engineering, Project Management, etc.) of new and existing HARMAN projects to achieve customer milestones.
  • Participation within problem solving meetings if EDM related data needs to be improved/corrected

What You Need to Be Successful

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline
  • Excellent understanding of electronic and mechanical components
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Exceptionally self-motivated and directed while ability to work in teams and motivate others in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and effectively influence team members and associates to adopt new ways of working in a virtual global environment
  • Strong Problem solving/ root cause analysis skills
  • Risk-based thinking knowledge
  • Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Result Driven Mindset

Bonus Points if You Have

  • 3+ years of experience in an engineering role (HW or ME)
  • Experience in Xpedition, Team Center PLM Software, Mentor Graphics
  • Knowledge and application of continuous improvement philosophies
