Job Description

Essential Duties

Project Planning & Execution

  • Develop, maintain, and execute detailed project plans, including scope, deliverables, schedules, budgets, and resource requirements.
  • Ensure company and project governance processes are consistently followed, tracked, and reported.
  • Define project goals and objectives in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve project management tools, templates, and processes.
  • Facilitate recurring project, facility, and team meetings to ensure alignment and progress.
  • Collaborate with managers to identify resource needs and secure appropriate staffing and scheduling.
  • Assign and manage individual project responsibilities to ensure accountability and efficiency.
  • Support consultants and facilities in the day-to-day execution of project activities.
  • Regularly review project performance to ensure milestones, timelines, and objectives are achieved.
  • Prepare project documentation and coordinate on-site client visits as required.
  • Identify project risks and issues, develop mitigation strategies, and drive resolution.
  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of assigned projects.

Project Communication

  • Communicate project status, risks, and changes clearly and effectively to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism in all written and verbal communications.
  • Assess project challenges and escalate issues appropriately to ensure timely resolution.
  • Conduct regular project status meetings and provide clear updates to all team members.
  • Ensure project teams remain informed of changes in scope, schedule, or priorities.

Team Collaboration & Leadership

Work Environment:

This job is office-based (Leuven, Belgium or any other European country where Sterigenics is already present) with possible home work and the necessary travels to Operations site, customers’ premises and / or providers (travel ~5-10%).

Education and experience requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with a minimum of four (4) years of applicable experience.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple technical or consulting projects in a regulated or professional services environment.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and managing competing priorities preferred.
  • High level of cultural agility as demonstrated by work experience, language proficiency, tolerance for other ways of thinking, etc.
  • Advantageous additional education and credentials/certifications on Project Management Professional, PRINCE2 Practitioner, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt, Agile or Scrum certifications.
