Job Description

Age Group: Nursery (3 months – 3 years) 

We are seeking a  female Early Years Support Staff member to work alongside the Nursery Teacher in supporting the daily care, safety, and wellbeing of young children. This is a hands-on role that plays a vital part in ensuring a clean, healthy, nurturing, and positive early years environment. 

The position is suitable for individuals who genuinely enjoy caring for babies and young children and who are comfortable with the physical and practical aspects of the role. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Nursery Teacher in the day-to-day running of the classroom. 

  • Carry out personal care duties, including feeding, nappy changing, changing clothes, cleaning, and supporting nap times. 

  • Ensure children are safe, hygienic, comfortable, and well cared for throughout the day. 

  • Assist with teacher-led educational and play-based activities. 

  • Support small groups or individual children as directed by the teacher. 

  • Help maintain a calm, stimulating, and welcoming classroom environment. 

Role Context:
The Nursery Teacher is responsible for planning and overall classroom direction. The Early Years Support Staff member works closely with the teacher to implement activities and provide the level of care required for very young children. While lesson planning is not part of this role, support staff are encouraged to share observations and contribute constructively as part of the team. 

Requirements:

  • Female candidates only (in line with cultural expectations when working with young children). 

  • Must already have the  legal right to work in Saudi Arabia, or be the  spouse of an SEK employee

  • Previous experience working with babies and/or young children (3 months–3 years). 

  • Experience in a nursery, school, or early years setting preferred. 

  • First aid certification is an advantage. 

  • Good physical health and ability to meet the physical demands of the role.
