Great Finborough Church Primary School is a small village school with a family friendly feel. We are located a short drive from Stowmarket in Mid-Suffolk.

We are looking to recruit an experienced Early Years SEND Teacher to teach, and lead, our EYFS provision. Our EYFS class consists of a maximum of 20 children. We are looking for someone who can provide that supporting and nurturing start to the children’s journey as they transition from pre-school, has the passion and skills to create exciting indoor and outdoor learning environments that support learning and will ensure that the children not only make maximum personal progress towards their ELG’s but are also Year 1 ready by the end of the summer term.

We recognise that a new member of our team will want to make their own mark on the EYFS learning environment as they begin their journey with us and, therefore, we have allocated an additional budget to enable this to happen.

In addition, the role also includes the leadership of SEND and Inclusion. Ideally, we are looking for a colleague with the SEND qualification, but applications are welcome from people willing to undertake the required training. We are proud to be an inclusive school that is willing to go the extra distance for all our children and families.

You will:

  • be an experienced and outstanding EYFS teacher that securely meets all the teacher standards
  • have a secure knowledge of early reading, writing and maths
  • be familiar with the Little Wandle Phonics programme
  • recognise that every child is an individual
  • be Paediatric First Aid trained or willing to undertake the training
  • hold the SEND qualification or be enthusiastic to undertake the training
  • have experience of creating, developing and supporting inclusive practice
  • be a team player with a sense of humour
  • value education opportunities beyond the classroom.
