Early Years Practitioner – Breakfast Club & After School Club

📍 Christchurch Primary School, Bradford upon Avon, BA15 1ST

💷 £15.00 per hour - 25 hours per week

📅 Term Time Only – Starting September 2026

Experienced and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner required to oversee and deliver high-quality childcare within a busy Breakfast & After School Club in Bradford-on-Avon.

We are seeking a qualified Early Years practitioner to lead activities and support the development of pre-school children within our wraparound care provision.

This role requires a Level 3 EYFS Childcare Qualification due to working with Nursery and Reception-aged children.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday

  • Breakfast Club: 07:30 – 09:00
  • After School Club: 15:00 – 18:00
  • Plus 30 mins paid extra a day for planning & prep

You will have the option to work up to 40 hrs per week during all school holidays if desired

About the Role

At Junior Adventures Group, we are looking for a passionate and motivated Early Years Leader to join our growing team.

You will be responsible for leading activity delivery, supporting staff, and ensuring a safe, engaging and inclusive environment for all children. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with Early Years experience and leadership skills who is looking to make a real impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the delivery of engaging EYFS-based activities
  • Oversee daily routines and ensure high-quality care and provision
  • Supervise, support, and motivate team members
  • Plan structured activities including games, arts & crafts, structured play, and age-appropriate sports activities
  • Ensure compliance with the EYFS framework, safeguarding, and health & safety policies
  • Maintain accurate records and complete relevant documentation
  • Communicate effectively with parents, staff, schools, and central operations
  • Ensure a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for all children
  • Take responsibility for safeguarding and welfare of children in your care
  • Support behaviour management and promote positive engagement

What We’re Looking For

  • Level 3 EYFS Childcare Qualification – essential
  • Experience working within Early Years settings
  • Leadership or team supervision experience (desirable)
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple responsibilities
  • Passionate about working with children and supporting their development
  • Ability to lead by example and inspire a team

Safeguarding

This role is subject to safeguarding requirements in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) and is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
