This role is in support of Cencora's wholesale distribution services in Europe operating through our Alliance Healthcare business.

Job Title: Early Morning Porter

Location: Swansea

Hours: 30 per week Monday – Saturday 03:00am – 08:00am

Rate: £12.96 plus night premium for whole shift

Job Purpose:

To accurately sort & distribute orders sent into transport into correct van routes/areas.

Summary of Role

We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Warehouse Porter to join our busy operation in Swansea. This role plays a key part in supporting the smooth running of the warehouse by ensuring stock is moved, loaded and organised safely and efficiently. The successful candidate will be comfortable carrying out voluminous manual handling in a fast-paced environment and committed to maintaining high standards of accuracy and safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the loading and unloading of vehicles
• Move stock safely throughout the warehouse and loading areas
• Prepare goods for dispatch and delivery
• Support the receipt and checking of incoming deliveries
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised warehouse environment
• Follow all health and safety procedures at all times
• Assist with stock movement and general warehouse duties
• Work as part of a team to ensure operational targets are achieved

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

• Previous warehouse, porter or logistics experience is beneficial
• Ability to carry out manual handling tasks safely
• Strong work ethic and reliable attendance record
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Basic understanding of warehouse health and safety practices
• Good attention to detail
• Flexible and proactive approach to work
• High Visual Accuracy
• Physical agility
• Basic Numeracy and Literacy
• Customer care

Desirable

• Experience working within a distribution or logistics environment
• Manual handling training
• Experience using warehouse equipment or pallet trucks
• Understanding of goods-in and dispatch processes

MANUAL HANDLING

It should be noted that manual handling tasks such as lifting and bending are “essential requirements” of this role.
