Salary Range: $82,796 to $136,848 full-time equivalent plus superannuation. Salary is determined based on years of teaching service.
Employment Status: Part-time | 45.6 hours per fortnight | Contract for the remainder of the 2026 school year
Eligibility: Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident

About the Role

The Early Learning Centre (ELC) Teacher is responsible for delivering a high-quality early childhood education program to preschool-aged children within a supportive and engaging preschool environment, with a focus on preparing children for a successful transition to school. This position is for Terms 3 and 4, and operates on a six-day fortnight roster. The successful candidate will work in the preschool room alongside two assistants, collaboratively planning and implementing developmentally appropriate learning experiences that support each child’s growth and wellbeing.

This appointment is temporary to replace an employee who is on leave or secondment.

Qualifications and Eligibility

  • ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) clearance
  • ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) registration
  • Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) or Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) approved qualifications
  • Accreditation in accordance with Work Teach and Lead in Catholic Education Canberra and Goulburn policy
