UNITED WAY MEMBER AGENCY
EOE

People Incorporated is a human service agency serving Southeastern Massachusetts, including the Greater Fall River, New Bedford, and Taunton areas. Since our inception in 1968, we have been one of the largest providers of supports and services to people of ALL abilities in the community. At the core of our agency is the belief that people benefit from the services we provide and deserve the highest level of quality support.
Our mission is to strengthen our community for each of its members by providing premier services for children and adults of all abilities in a collaborative and creative environment. People Incorporated was founded by parents of people with disabilities who were seeking better quality and more diverse services for their families. Today, the organization offers employment training and job development, day habilitation, autism services, children's services including early intervention, parenting programs, preschool and early education and care, community and family support services, acquired brain injury services & support, and residential services.
Our success has been built upon a thoughtful, fully articulated business plan that steadily changes and improves to respond to evolving community needs. At the core of this plan was a review and revision of our mission statement. Once we established clarity around our mission statement, we expanded our mission so that our service model would not only include supports for individuals with intellectual and cognitive disabilities but would also include a more consistent approach to addressing serious concerns within the communities we serve. Over time, we have been able to understand better, value, and focus on the key areas necessary for us to continue on the path to opportunity.
