Job Description

Stipend

• $7,000 for the 2026-27 school year (paid in one $7,000 installment in May 2027)

Qualifications

• Current GISD Employee with employment for the 26-27 school year
• Certification requirement in area of subject
• Minimum three (3) years teaching experience

Responsibilities

• Proactively own the work of leading the early college cohort content teachers
• Build trusting relationships with campus and district administrators, content coordinators, and teachers
• Mentor early college teachers and provide frequent and ongoing professional development (scheduling, marketing, and leading PLCs) in collaboration with content coordinators
• Communicate regularly with district administrators and remind early college teachers of important training dates

Lead Teacher Selection

• One early college content lead teacher will be selected for each of the following areas: ELAR, Math, Science, Social Studies and MAPS/AVID.
• The lead teacher must be a classroom teacher teaching in an early college cohort.
