"Community and education are two things I value very highly. To work in a role where I can engage with the community and be a part of not only the children’s learning, but also the team and families I work with daily, and to have a positive impact in these spaces brings me a lot of joy." - Zoe Hewett-Batt, Centre Director.

SRMCC has an excellent outdoor play space that backs onto the Richmond community oval, allowing for regular outings for children within the local community. An ample, open outdoor space provides an opportunity for daily indoor-outdoor programs, with a significant focus on nature-based pedagogy. We are members of the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden program and have a hands-on kitchen garden where we grow herbs and vegetables to be used by our resident chef, encouraging children's involvement in menu planning. There is also a community-built home for feathered friends. In addition to this, we offer supplementary programs, including weekly music classes led by a qualified Early Childhood Teacher (ECT), as well as a weekly Bush Kinder program for our integrated kindergarten group.

SRMCC also offers a parent partnership group to assist and arrange with fundraising events, several staff at the centre for over 10 years, a director with over 15 years experience in the sector, and a teaching qualification, and a team culture of lifelong learning and commitment to professional development and quality improvement...
