The Service

At KU Peter Pan La Perouse, we provide more than childcare—we create a safe, nurturing space where children can grow, explore, and thrive. Set in a natural outdoor environment with mature native trees, our preschool inspires curiosity, creativity, and a sense of wonder.

The Role

This role is a direct result of our groundbreaking KU Children’s Services Teacher’s Enterprise Agreement 2025. Our new agreement is designed to continue setting new benchmarks in the sector, providing our employees with the best conditions. The new Agreement features increased Educational Leader and programming time, more child-free days, up to 15 weeks paid parental leave provisions, building on our already amazing staff supports and benefits.

You will work on permanent, part time basis (38 hours per fortnight) providing relief to the Director for educational leader and administration duties. The breakdown of the role is as below:

  • Week 1 – 7.6 hour per day, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
  • Week 2 – 7.6 hours per day, Thursday and Friday

Of course, you will need:

  • Australian working rights
  • A current NSW Working with Children Check
  • An ACECQA recognised Early Childhood Teaching degree
  • Completed training in Child Protection legislation and National Child Safety Training completed through Geccko
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificates along with current separate approved Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management certificates
  • NESA Teacher Accreditation
  • Sound understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law (2010) and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011)
  • Working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Frameworks (EYLF)
