Role: Early Childhood Teacher, Kindergarten program

Type: Full-time

Location: Portland, Victoria Australia

Salary: $72,000- $116,000

INCENTIVES AVAILABLE UP TO $21,000 for eligible candidates 

This is an amazing opportunity for an experienced ECT, to live by the coast and work at a newly opened Early Learning Centre.

Portland, the small coastal town along Victoria's Great Ocean Road, is home to great surf and even better community! With a laid back feel, you are only 3.5 hours from Melbourne and 1 hour from Warrnambool. This is the perfect location for those wishing to start fresh and enjoy the coastal breeze. Whilst classed as "Regional" this location has everything you need, from grocery stores, Bunnings, schools and plenty of accommodation for family and friends wishing to visit! 

The centre itself is new, only opening this year. Providing you with the opportunity to be a part of a growing team and make your mark as an ECT in Australia. We are seeking a motivated and passionate teacher who already has at least one year of teaching experience, and can hit the ground running.

ABOUT YOU:

• Ability to support a team of educators to strengthen pedagogy and strive to reach outcomes aligning with the Early Years Learning Framework and Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework.
• Deliver quality and purposeful play-based programs for the 3-4 year old age group
• Strong leadership skills and passion for leading a team
• High end communication and proven skills in building relationships with children, families and staff
• A genuine interest in child development and passion for teaching

WHAT YOU NEED:

• Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Teaching (or ACECQA equivalent)
• New Zealand Citizenship and currently LIVING IN NEW ZEALAND
• VIT Registration (for NZ registered teachers we can help you apply for Mutual Recognition)
• First aid certificate and CPR (or willingness to obtain)
• Mandatory Reporting online learning certificate (or willingness to obtain)
• New Zealand Police check
• Two industry references (one from a previous manager and one from a previous team member, both MUST be from a paid position in Early Childhood)
