Early Childhood Teacher | Lapstone Preschool

About Lapstone Preschool

Lapstone Preschool is a 36-place preschool providing high-quality early childhood education for preschool aged children. Operating for more than 50 years and set within beautiful bushland at the foot of the Mountains, our preschool fosters children’s creativity, confidence and sense of belonging. With a spacious main classroom, a rich loose-parts environment and a dedicated bush kinder program, we offer a nurturing and inclusive place where every child can thrive.

The opportunity We are seeking a passionate Early Childhood Teacher to join our Lapstone Preschool team in a permanent full-time position You will help deliver a responsive, play-based program, partner with families and contribute to an inclusive learning environment where children are supported to grow, explore and belong.

About you

You are a reflective, relationship-focused teacher who values children’s rights, family partnerships and inclusive practice. You bring warmth, professionalism and a strong understanding of child development to your work each day.

• Bachelor of Early Childhood Education and Care, or an ACECQA-approved equivalent qualification.
• Strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework, child development and play-based learning.
• Current approved First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certifications.
• Current Working with Children Check and National Police Check.
• Commitment to respectful, responsive and rights-based practice.
• Confidence working collaboratively with families, educators and community partners.
• Commitment to ongoing professional learning and reflective practice.

Key responsibilities

• Provide nurturing, responsive care and high-quality education for preschool-aged children.
• Plan, document, implement and evaluate programs that support each child’s learning, development and wellbeing.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment, including indoor, outdoor and bushland learning experiences.
• Participate in reflective practice, team collaboration and ongoing professional learning.
