About the Opportunity

We are seeking a suitably qualified Early Childhood Educator who is motivated, enthusiastic and passionate to join our team.

Based at the Kathleen Millikan Centre, this position is offered on a fixed term full time basis as it is linked to parental leave backfill.

Located in the rural township of Casterton, the Kathleen Millikan Centre provides both Long Day Care and Kindergarten programs in a welcoming, purpose-built facility.

As part of a small, close-knit farming community on the traditional lands of the Gunditjmara, Boandik and Jardwadjali peoples, we are committed to creating a nurturing, inclusive and supportive environment where children, families and educators thrive.

What you need to Succeed

• A genuine understanding of and a desire to work with children aged 0 through to kindergarten age.
• A positive outlook and team approach.
• Effective communication skills.
• Certificate III Education and Care.
• Current First Aid qualification HLTAID012.
• National Child Safety training
• Knowledge of the National Quality Framework and an understanding of how this this reflects on daily practice.
• Demonstrated experience working with children and families.
• Experience in assisting in the development and implementation of an educational program.
• Demonstrated ability to work flexibly and collaboratively with all staff.
• Ability to manage risks and identify health and safety issues pertaining to workplace.
