Lady Gowrie Tasmania is preparing to open a new purpose-built early education and care service in the coming months in Latrobe. We’re looking for passionate, experienced Early Childhood Educators to help bring learning to life.

The opportunity

We have Part Time and Casual opportunities available for experienced Certificate III and
Diploma qualified Education and Care Practitioners to join our new service.

We're seeking passionate educators from across Northern Tasmania who are eager to bring their skills, experience and ideas to a collaborative and supportive team. Working alongside
like-minded professionals, you'll help create an environment where children, families and educators can learn, grow and thrive together.

In this role, you will:

  • Uphold the safety, rights and wellbeing of all children and promote a culture of child safety with a zero-tolerance approach to child maltreatment, abuse and neglect.
  • Provide meaningful, age-appropriate learning experiences that nurture children’s curiosity, creativity and growth.
  • Actively supervise children at all times to ensure their safety and wellbeing.
  • Create engaging and welcoming room environments that encourage exploration, connection,
    and learning.
  • Document and reflect on children’s learning and development in a meaningful and
    consistent way.
  • Collaborate with families to build strong partnerships, share insights about children’s learning, and ensure continuity between home and the service.
  • Commit to your own professional growth and ongoing development.
  • Work in line with Lady Gowrie Tasmania’s policies, procedures and the National Quality Framework.

What we’re looking for:

  • An ACECQA-approved Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.
  • Previous experience supporting daily routines and a strong demonstrated commitment to child safety.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and awareness of the National
    Quality Framework (NQF).
  • A current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People for child-related activity in childcare services.
