Target Hourly/Salary Rate: $32,136.00 - To commensurate with qualifications

Appointment Full-time Equivalency: 1.0

FLSA Status Exempt

Bargaining Unit Announcement: This is NOT a bargaining unit position with American Federation of State, County & Municipal Employees (AFSCME).

Contingent Upon Funding: Contingent upon external funding

Standard Work Schedule: Standard (M-F, 8-5)

Job Duties and Responsibilities: Plan and implement Reggio inspired curriculum based on Pre-K policy brief and New Mexico's curriculum framework. Oversees classroom management. Observe and assess children's developmental progress. Document growth and development of children using Pre-K or Focus assessments. Maintain portfolios on children in caseload. Establish relationships with families. Mentors and guides student employees.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:
Associate's Degree + 2 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree.

Special Certification/Licensure:
First Aid/C.P.R. Certification; comprehensive background check, physical exam and TB screening.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

Environment: Work is normally performed indoors.

Physical Effort: Moderate physical activity.

Lifting Requirements: Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 25 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day.

Risk: Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
