Key Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years old
Associate’s degree in Early Childhood or Elementary Education preferred
Ability to complete Montana state‑required early childhood training within 6 months of hire
Completion of STARS Assistant Teacher Training within 12 months of hire
CPR/AED certification or ability to obtain within 30 days (training provided)
Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
Genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development
About Our Center
Kid Kare and Kid Kare Infant Center are licensed by the State of Montana and proudly rated STAR 3 in the STARS to Quality Program—reflecting our dedication to high‑quality early learning.
We serve children ages 6 weeks to 6 years of Logan Health employees on a space‑available basis. Our learning environment encourages exploration, independence, curiosity, and the early developmental milestones that shape a lifelong love of learning.
What You’ll Be Doing
As an Assistant Teacher, you’ll play a meaningful role in shaping children’s early experiences and providing a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment. Responsibilities include:
Create a Safe, Engaging Environment
Maintain hazard-free play and learning spaces
Support a clean, healthy, and safe classroom
Prepare age‑appropriate activities that inspire curiosity and creativity
Support & Supervise Children
Ensure safety, comfort, and emotional well‑being at all times
Guide children through play, routines, and learning experiences
Encourage Lifelong Healthy Habits
Model and support positive habits around nutrition, physical activity, and safety
Be a Collaborative Team Member
Partner with teachers and staff to plan activities and support classrooms
Mentor new team members and contribute to a positive work environment
Provide Administrative Support
Assist with documentation, attendance, and daily activity reports
Celebrate Diversity
Value and respect each child’s background, culture, and abilities

Kid Kare Hours / Schedule:Monday - Friday | 6:30 a.m. - 6 p.m.
PRN Assistant Teachers must be available for a minimum of 25 hours per week, typically consisting of:
2 10-hour shifts
1 shorter shift to help cover staff lunches and breaks.
PRN positions (also referred to as Casual, As Needed, or Per Diem) at Logan Health offer flexibility and are designed to provide coverage during busy periods, employee absences, and vacations, making them an excellent opportunity to support the team as needed. PRN employees can participate in a matching 401(k) plan and have access to the Employee Assistance Program. Additionally, they may qualify for hourly differential pay for certain shifts or hours, offering extra compensation based on department-specific scheduling needs.Pay rates and scheduling practices may vary by department.
