Job Description


The Staff Pad has partnered with a reputable
healthcare organization in Helena, MT, and we are seeking a caring and
dependable Early Childhood Assistant Teacher to join their Infant Room .


This role supports the Lead Teacher in creating a
safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for infants ages 6 weeks to 24 months
while supporting their individual developmental and emotional needs.


What You’ll Do


  • Support
    the Lead Teacher with daily infant classroom activities and routines

  • Provide
    a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for infants

  • Assist
    with developmentally appropriate activities, learning, and play

  • Supervise
    infants in classroom and outdoor play areas

  • Adapt
    activities and care to individual infant needs

  • Help
    maintain a clean, healthy, and organized classroom

  • Follow
    daily classroom routines and lesson plans

  • Provide
    classroom coverage and support across infant classrooms as needed

  • Collaborate
    with teachers, families, and community resources

  • Maintain
    respectful and positive communication with children, families, and staff

  • Follow
    state childcare licensing, safety, and center requirements

  • Participate
    in required training and professional development

  • Receive
    guidance and oversight from the Lead Teacher or Director


What We’re Looking For


Education & Requirements


  • Must
    be at least 16 years old

  • High
    school diploma, GED, or HiSET preferred

  • American
    Heart Association HeartSaver CPR and Pediatric First Aid (within 30 days
    of hire)

  • Montana
    Early Childhood Project Practitioner Registry (within 15 days of hire)

  • Infant
    Safety Essentials (within 30 days)

  • Health
    and Safety Required Professional Development (within 90 days)

  • Completion
    of mandatory 16-hour annual training

  • Current orgnization and State Child Care Licensing-required immunizations

  • Knowledge
    & understanding of childhood growth, development & Early Childhood
    Development principles

  • Good
    judgment, critical-thinking, infant supervision and safety skills

  • Strong
    team-work, communication, decision-making and problem-solving skills

  • Ability
    to remain calm under pressure and manage multiple tasks and stressors
    effectively

  • Genuine interest in and ability to work with
    infants ages 6 weeks to 24 months

  • Flexibility
    to work across all infant classrooms
