
Job Title: E2E Rebates and Promotions Manager

Job Purpose
This role sits at the centre of Commercial Finance Operations, overseeing the processes, systems, controls and governance for Trade Marketing Investment. It is responsible for safeguarding P&L and balance sheet integrity while supporting delivery of UKI cash targets.
Working closely with CD teams, the Head of Customer Operations and the UKI Financial Controller, the role drives strong financial controls, operational excellence and continuous process improvement.
The position manages outsourced rebate and claims operations, ensuring service performance, compliance and control effectiveness.
It provides valuable financial controlling experience through ownership of key controls and accountability for control delivery across the organisation. The role also offers exposure to high-profile regional and global projects, line management of a UK-based team and indirect leadership of third-party service providers.
This role is ideal for someone who can work independently, deliver at pace and lead change across the UKI organisation and wider regional network.
Responsibilities
Continuous Improvement
Digitise and transform processes, simplifying ways of working to improve the user and customer experience.
Identify issues and root causes and propose and implement changes through the business
Champion usage of tools and deliver training and capability development programmes
Work with global/local teams to ensure the key systems are fit for purpose and they support key KPis
Leadership
Lead a team of 8
Ensure absolute clarity on roles, responsibilities and expected behaviours to ensure E2E efficiency and effectiveness
Controls
Ensure financial controls operate as per the GFCF and take corrective action if deficiencies are found.
Monitor compliance and design effectiveness of controls operated by 3PSPs.
Responsible for delivery of on-time payment of customer claims and be the first point of contact for Senior Finance
Ensure business continuity and auditable operational and financial control in a highly operational environment
Delivery through 3PSP
Build a partnership with the 3PSP Genpact team in Bangalore who are responsible for operational transactions
Use their expertise to implement changes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the end-to-end processes.
Hold internal and 3PSP teams to account for the delivery of process SLAs and manage escalations
Customer Focus
Drive “best in the industry” interaction with customers.
Deliver stretching targets for Claim Turnaround Times, Deductions and Rebates set up on time.
Hold all teams within Unilever and Genpact accountable for delivering against Service Level Agreement.
Seek external insight to understand market developments and propose how to incorporate new ideas.

Qualified accountant or qualified by experience
Understanding of Financial Controls
Team Leadership experience
Excellent engagement and communication skills
Ability to deliver to deadlines
Strong project management skills and preferably an understanding or experience of agile ways of working
Experience of working on IT or process transformation projects is preferable
Curiosity to drive transformational change
Ability to own and drive the agenda for the business
Ability to effectively business partner and build connections with stakeholders without a formal partner relationship
Ability to influence, constructively challenge, hold others accountable and maintain high standards

Cyber criminals advertise fake job adverts with prestigious employers as a way of stealing information or even defrauding individuals out of money. In the most sophisticated cases, they will set up fake websites, which have a similar address to companies like Unilever. They even conduct fake telephone interviews and then offer candidates a role with the proviso they pay a fee for background checks or to cover work visa costs. Many of Unilever’s recruitment sites publish a warning to candidates about recruitment fraud. The Cyber Security team also proactively scan for signs of people setting up fake Unilever sites and act to close them down.
