Next to our passion for technology we’re very passionate about our work environment. Based on values such as trust, appreciation, and accountability, we all work together to shape the future – boldly, customer-focused and with a strong team spirit!

In this role you will own the architecture decisions that enable faster product delivery, reduce integration cost, and unlock new digital revenue streams.

As an E2E IT Architect, you will be the lead architect for our modern commercial technology landscape, creating the digital backbone that connects our core business systems including CRM (Salesforce), PIM, PLM, and ERP. You will define the central integration strategy and ensure the seamless integration, security, scalability, and coherence of our IT architecture.

You will act as the ultimate authority on technical design across the enterprise, enabling a flexible, resilient, and future-proof technology stack that supports a wide range of business initiatives, from API-driven frontends to internal process automation.

Architectural Vision & Design

  • Design of the central integration strategy and layer (API Gateway, microservices) ensuring seamless data flow between CRM, PIM, PLM, ERP, and consuming applications

  • Final approval point for architectural decisions

Standards & Governance

  • Development, documentation, and enforcement of architectural standards for API design, data architecture, microservices, event-driven communication, and security (OAuth 2.0, OIDC)

  • Ensuring a loosely coupled and highly cohesive system landscape across the enterprise

  • Architectural review and sign-off on major IT projects

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Close collaboration with Product Owners (Frontend, CRM) and business leaders to translate future requirements into a scalable and cost-effective architecture

  • Expert guidance on technical feasibility, risks, and financial / non-financial implications of business initiatives

Technology Evaluation & Selection

  • Continuous evaluation of emerging technologies, platforms, and patterns across the industry, with a 12–24 month adoption horizon

  • Strategic recommendations for adoption of new technologies for the integration layer, API gateway, cloud services, and other components of the enterprise stack

Qualifications

  • Education Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is strongly preferred.

  • Experience and Know-how: 8+ years as an IT Architect, with 3–5 years designing complex, distributed, integrated systems in an enterprise environment; proven track record leading a technology organisation through significant transformation

    • Technical Stack: deep, hands-on expertise in enterprise integration patterns, API Gateways (AWS API Gateway, Kong), microservices, and event-driven systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ); strong knowledge of CRM (Salesforce), PIM, and ERP integration via APIs; experience with SQL and NoSQL data models; expert-level cloud platform knowledge (AWS preferred; Azure/GCP a plus) including Lambda, SQS, SNS, RDS

    • Nice to have: Architectural certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, TOGAF); previous experience in a private equity backed business advantageous; experience with security frameworks (NIS2, ISO 27001) is a plus

  • Personality and Working Style: Excellent strategic and systems thinking; complex problem-solving; strong leadership and the ability to influence and align technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels

  • Languages: Fluent English (written and spoken) required; working German preferred.
