Description
At the World Bank, a member of the World Bank Group (WBG), you’ll join a diverse, global community working across cultures, disciplines, and borders to address the world’s most pressing development challenges. With 1.2 billion young people reaching working age in the decade ahead, the challenge of job creation has never been greater. Through partnerships across 145 countries and more than 182 offices worldwide, we work with governments, private sector, development partners and other stakeholders to invest in people, strengthen markets, and deliver scalable, data-driven solutions that generate more and better jobs and improve lives. For more information, visit International Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
The Partnerships, Innovation and Mobilization Vice-Presidency (PIM) is responsible for the management and monitoring of policies, procedures and resources for the World Bank’s development financing vehicles. PIMsets the policy framework for the World Bank Group’s development finance by engaging in strategic resource mobilization, playing an intermediation role to help align the needs of recipients, WBG institutional priorities, and priorities of funding partners, through a variety of funding instruments. These include the International Development Association (IDA), the World Bank’s fund for the poorest and Trust Funds, including Financial Intermediary Funds (FIFs).
Given the nature and variety of this portfolio, PIM works closely with the Regions and Global Practices, offices of the Managing Directors, Executive Directors, World Bank Group (WBG) senior management, corporate and operations units across the WBG, funding partners and government officials. The One World Bank Group Approach works towards a greater coordination of the whole Group as a single entity, ensuring a coordinated approach to support the public and private sectors in client countries. PIM is structured to provide the institution with a more holistic approach to financing, and strategic fundraising across IDA, IBRD, and Bank/IFC trust funds and partnerships.
The External Funds and Partnerships (EFPAR) leads the Bank's engagement in Trust Funds, Financial Intermediary Funds (FIFs), co-financing, and partner relations. The department administers a portfolio of nearly US$70 billion in Trust Funds and FIFs, sets the policy and procedural framework governing these instruments, and plays a critical intermediation role between the Bank's operational units and its funding partners. EFPAR comprises three business lines: FIFs, Digital, and Analytics; Trust Funds and Partner Relations; and Co-Financing.
The position supports the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of digital platforms, analytics, and operational processes serving development partners, MDBs, and internal stakeholders. The role focuses on Co-financing Portal and Development Partner Center (DPC) operations, AI and reporting enablement, ERP/system change support, process automation, access governance, and coordinated handling of development partner queries across Trust Funds and Financial Intermediary Funds (TF/FIFs).
In the performance of his/her duties, the ETC will work under the overall guidance and supervision of the Digital Stream Lead, in close coordination with senior staff responsible for the specific assignments.

The World Bank is a vital source of financial and technical assistance to developing countries around the world. Our vision is to create a world free of poverty on a livable planet.
We are not a bank in the common sense; we are made up of two unique development institutions owned by 189 member countries: the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) and the International Development Association (IDA).
Each institution plays a different but collaborative role in advancing the vision of inclusive and sustainable globalization. The IBRD aims to reduce poverty in middle-income and creditworthy poorer countries, while IDA focuses on the world's poorest countries.
Their work is complemented by that of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA) and the International Centre for the Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID).
Together, we provide low-interest loans, interest-free credits and grants to developing countries for a wide array of purposes that include investments in education, health, public administration, infrastructure, financial and private sector development, agriculture and environmental and natural resource management.
