General Role
The e-Merchandiser is responsible for optimizing the online shopping experience through effective digital merchandising, product catalogue management, and data-driven trading strategies. This role plays a key part in enhancing product visibility, improving conversion rates, and driving online sales performance across eCommerce platforms.
The ideal candidate will monitor customer behavior, analyze sales and site performance data, identify market trends, and implement strategic merchandising initiatives to maximize commercial opportunities. Working closely with internal stakeholders and external agencies, the e-Merchandiser will ensure a seamless and engaging customer journey while continuously evaluating and refining digital merchandising strategies.
Responsibilities:
• Manage product placement, category structure, and homepage layouts to align with brand guidelines and commercial objectives
• Ensure that product listings—including descriptions, attributes, sizing, pricing, and inventory—are accurate and optimized across all platforms.
• Manage on-site search, navigation, filtering, as well as cross-sell and upsell strategies to enhance user experience and product discoverability.
• Collaborate with agency and central teams to launch campaigns, create landing pages, and implement seasonal updates.
• Monitor site performance metrics using tools like Google Analytics, Content square or similar to make data-driven merchandising adjustments and optimize merchandising strategies.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in digital marketing, Merchandising, Business/Management, Finance, Communications, Mathematics, and data science
• A minimum of 3 years in eCommerce trading, digital marketing, or online retail operations.
• Proficiency in Content Management Systems (e.g., Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, or similar) and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics 4, content square or similar).
• Ability to interpret site traffic and sales data to develop effective merchandising strategies.
• A strong emphasis on catalogue accuracy, including visual aesthetics and copywriting.
• Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams, manage tight timelines, and balance the technical and creative aspects of digital retail.
• Proficiency in English; knowledge of Chinese and French is a plus
