"Team Management

Functional management of 5 to 12 individual contributors on a site or region, including consultants.

Identifies resource needs, including outsourced personnel for short-term requirements.

Coordinates technical activities (electronic machine design).

Assigns core tasks to the design team.

Oversees daily workgroup activities for projects and business tasks.

Regularly reviews with the project lead engineer to ensure alignment between needs and availability.

Plans, monitors, and controls short-term team activities according to project schedules and specifications.

Participates in short-term project planning with the program manager based on resource and material needs.

Responsible for interns within the design team."

"Design, Optimization, Development, and Qualification

Interacts and advises on advanced manufacturing expectations and/or suppliers.

Responsible for complete electrical machine design through to mass production launch.

Defines test benches, analyzes test results, and correlates with models.

Sets objectives and receives general guidance on how to achieve them."

"Technology Development

Contributes to developing new products, processes, standards, or operational plans.

Provides technical advice to design engineers.

Develops internal design best practices and standards within the department.

Creates workflows with group resources to drive the introduction of new technologies (materials, processes, design features)."

"Resource Planning

Generates an annual resource plan based on team objectives and deliverables.

Maintains balance between project commitments and core work to ensure cutting-edge solutions are safely and quickly integrated into active projects."

Education / Qualifications

Minimum requirements required for employee to do the job" Bachelors or above in electrical engineering related discipline, along with equivalent work experience in mechanical engineering for high speed rotors

Experience

Minimum requirements (years & domain) required for employee to do the job" 10+ years experience in electric machines design preferably at very high speeds (>100 krpm) in an automotive or aerospace environment. Electrical product development experience including design engineering, testing, prototype hardware procurement, major manufacturing processes,

Key Skills and Knowledge

Minimum requirements required for employee to do the job" "- Specific expert knowledge of electric motors for high speed applications (>100 krpm ideal)

• Previous experience of electromagnetic, mechanical, or thermal simulation for electric machines
• Design for manufacture, proto to production experience of electric machines, as well as experience working in partnership with external suppliers for electric machine construction
• Experience of writing reports for Director/Vice President/CTO level
• Six Sigma Green Belt, or higher, qualified
• Able to determine own objectives, receiving little guidance on how to achieve them.
• Demonstrated English written and oral communication skills and ability to interact with individuals of all disciplines and levels"
