The Role

The Product Education department is looking to hire a talented, positive, and detail-orientated e-Learning Product Specialist to join our growing team. This role is for someone who thinks bigger than traditional technical writing and wants the opportunity to shape the learning journey for our internal and external customer base utilizing the PBS Academy. As an e-Learning Product Specialist, you will be responsible for partnering with other PBS departments to test software, storyboard videos, write technical documentation, and other interactive learning material to teach our dealership customers and internal staff the features and functionality of the PBS software. This role is for someone who thinks bigger than traditional technical writing and wants the opportunity to shape the learning journey for our internal and external customer base, utilizing the PBS Academy.

Job Responsibilities

  • Proactively research new software releases to update Product Documentation
  • Communicate complex features in a compelling, clear, and effective way
  • Monitor the product lifecycle and coordinate course content updates
  • Storyboard engaging course content for the PBS Academy
  • Maintain project documentation and course folders
  • Understand automotive dealership processes related to software features to communicate the benefits of the PBS software effectively
  • Develop and manage educational content for internal certifications
  • Facilitate Certification Presentations (minimum one certification required)
  • Provide product training when needed
  • Develop product-related content for marketing and sales materials
  • Collaborate with other PBS departments to create content
  • Act as a PBS software advocate

Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • Previous customer service and dealership experience will be considered an asset
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite – web
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills (English)
  • Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail
  • Action-oriented, multi-tasker who excels in a multi-project environment
  • Ability to embrace variety, structure, change, and innovation
  • Works well both with a team and independently
