Job Description
Surepoint is currently seeking dedicated Electricians to join our Motor preservation team in the Edmonton area! We are looking for local candidates who are committed to safety, quality, and a shared win approach to client satisfaction.
In this role, you will be a key part of a close team, responsible for the maintenance, testing, and documentation of critical equipment. You will work on a variety of electric motors in conjunction with other trades to maintain and preserve the equipment for potential use back in the field.
Key Responsibilities
• Safety & Compliance: Maintain a continual focus on safety and adhere to all company environmental, health, and safety policies, including daily safety analysis and mitigation.
• Technical Execution: Complete visual inspections, circuits and wiring , disassembly and reassembly of motors, equipment testing and calibrations, QAQC documentation and storage.
◦ Work with other trades to complete tasks
◦ Responsible for material ordering, and QAQC documents directly associated with the project at hand.
◦ Maintain high standard of safety
◦ Operate calibrated testing equipment
• Mentorship: Journeymen will be expected to work with, mentor, and support apprentices to ensure the highest quality of workmanship across the team.
• Collaboration: Assist team members with the installation, testing and replacement of equipment for other preservation equipment at the facility.
Qualifications
• Certification: Certified Journeyman Electrician.
• Experience: Previous preservation or electric motor experience, QAQC documentation experience and familiarity with motor testing equipment including meters and insulation testers
• Safety Tickets: Standard First Aid and general orientations. (Can be provided)
• Professionalism: A respectful attitude with a strong focus on customer service and exceptional communication skills.
• Reliability: A valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean abstract and the ability to maintain work schedule.
• Physical Capability: Able to lift 50 lbs and work in a busy environment.
