The e-Compliance Business Analyst acts as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure successful implementation electronic invoicing and electronic reporting solutions. This role involves gathering requirements, analyzing business processes, and delivering functional specifications that align with organizational goals.

He/she understands the business and is responsible for assessing needs and demands coming from multiple stakeholders. The BA also assesses the impact across business lines, functions and solutions, is responsible for translating them into documented requirements and supports their prioritization.

The BA follows agreed standards and applies appropriate techniques to analyze and document applications and business requirements, facilitate the definition of high level and detailed functional designs, define acceptance criteria, review and validate testing plans and oversee UAT. He/she works with the technical teams to ensure the specifications are properly understood and supports the creation of training materials when needed and the development of the knowledge base of application features.

The BA contributes to demand management process by providing the analysis of business requirements and has an insight into the complete backlog of demands in his/her area of competence, improvement opportunities, requested changes, required upgrades and technology refresh initiatives.

The BA also supports the Service Managers when required by providing information or clarifications on the functional requests related to the services provided.

The role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including but not limited to the following:

  • Requirements Gathering & Analysis
    • Collaborate with business stakeholders to elicit, document, and validate statutory requirements and local regulations related to e-Compliance
    • Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for improvement
    • Conduct workshops and prepare presentations to share ideas and findings
  • Functional Design & Documentation
    • Create detailed functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria for eCompliance projects
    • Document workflows, data flows, and integration points with other systems (ERP, solution providers, government portals)
  • Solution Delivery
    • Work closely with development teams to ensure requirements are understood and implemented correctly
    • Support testing phases (UAT, SIT) by preparing test cases and validating functionality against requirements
  • Performance & Optimization
    • Monitor post-implementation performance and assist in continuous improvement initiatives
  • Stakeholder Communication
    • Prepare and deliver reports, dashboards, and presentations for business stakeholders
  • eCompliance Best Practices
    • Act as a trusted advisor for eCompliance best practices and emerging trends
    • Monitor markets, solution partners and statutory regulations published by local tax authorities to ensure compliance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or master’s with relevant Business and IT or Computer science background.
  • Relevant experience managing requirements through the entire delivery and operational life cycle.
  • Experience on business analysis frameworks and techniques – e.g. business process modeling, continuous improvement, requirements analysis, user stories and use cases definition, etc.
  • Strong understanding of Oracle E-Business Suite (AP, AR, GL modules) or similar ERP systems
  • Expertise in gathering and documenting business requirements for compliance projects.

Knowledge of Invoicing and e-Reporting compliance requirements (e.g., EU VAT, SAF-T, local fiscal regulations).
