Job Description

Are you a data-driven digital commerce expert with a passion for creating seamless customer experiences? Do you thrive on turning insights into action, optimising every touchpoint of the customer journey to drive conversion?

About this work area

IKEA's Digital Shopping Channels are known as Digital Customer Meeting Points, or ‘DCMP’. The DCMP team delivers seamless online experiences that connect with the broader omnichannel journey, driving sales conversion and making IKEA more accessible and convenient for customers.

We are a growing team bringing together people with diverse backgrounds and expertise. It's an exciting time to join as we continue to shape the future of IKEA's online experience, explore new opportunities, and drive innovation across our digital channels.

About the role
As the eCommerce Optimisation Lead (internally titled Digital CMP Optimisation Leader), you'll drive conversion and contribute to channel growth and profitability by proactively analysing data, identifying opportunities, and leading improvements across all online KPIs. In this role you will:
• Define and drive online performance and optimisation strategy, ensuring alignment with business priorities and customer needs.
• Identify pain points in the online customer journey and inefficiencies in the online funnel, using qualitative and quantitative data and translating insights into actionable improvements.
• Take ownership of online channel data and analysis and helping to support and upskill the wider eCommerce team with reporting, business cases and deep dives.
• Oversees site performance and health metrics, safeguarding checkout KPIs and ensuring operational excellence.
• Leads the implementation of tools, working methods, and best practices from global teams, utilising industry benchmarks to guide stakeholders and foster continuous improvement.

This position is an individual contributor role directly reporting to the eCommerce Manager for Australia and New Zealand.

You are a commercially savvy digital expert with a deep understanding of online retailing and omnichannel customer journeys. You bring strong commercial acumen combined with expertise in data-driven decision-making, advanced analytics, and decision intelligence. You excel at navigating complex, dynamic business environments, driving change positively, and influencing cross-functional teams. With a proven track record of growing business and people together, you're ready to lead with IKEA values such as togetherness, simplicity and caring for people and planet, while unleashing entrepreneurial thinking across the organisation.

To be considered for this role you will have:
• 4+ years of experience in ecommerce, CRO, finance, business intelligence, analytics or similar, ideally within an omnichannel retail business.
• Demonstrated success in optimising online business performance and improving key performance metrics, with a proven track record of driving measurable results and conversion improvements.
• Strong commercial acumen and knowledge of consumer retailing, including current market trends, customer behaviour patterns, and competitive landscape dynamics.
• Familiarity with financial and P&L management, with the ability to understand and influence profitability and margin performance within the online channel.
• Proven ability to influence, coach, and communicate effectively across cross-functional teams and global environments, providing clear points of view and inspiring action.
• Strong technical proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages, including SQL for database querying, advanced Excel for complex data manipulation and modelling, and Python (preferred) for automation and advanced analytics, along with proven experience in data visualisation platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools to create compelling insights and dashboards that drive business decisions.

Additional information:
• Permanent, full time, 76hrs/fortnight.
• If you are successful for this role, you will be required to obtain a national police check.
