Job Description
Reporting to the Litigation Counsel Lead, Brazil, this role is responsible for the overall management of litigation matters in the country, with a strong focus on high-volume (mass) cases related to TTS e-commerce operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage high-volume (mass) consumer and e-commerce litigation arising from TikTok Shop marketplace activities, including judicial cases and PROCON procedures, ensuring consistency, scalability, and full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal platform policies.
- Serve as a strategic legal partner to the business, particularly on marketplace and e-commerce matters, providing practical, risk-based advice in a fast-paced environment.
- Identify potential litigation and regulatory risks, especially within the digital commerce ecosystem, and proactively advise on mitigation strategies.
- Handle general litigation, including pre-litigation claims, consumer disputes, and related matters.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of litigation matters, including fact-finding, legal analysis, strategy development, case management, motion practice, and arbitration or trial preparation and presentation.
- Supervise and collaborate with outside counsel, ensuring high-quality legal representation across all aspects of case handling, including strategy, written work, and oral advocacy.
- Align with and support the company’s global litigation and regulatory strategy.
