Job Description

Overview

Capable of handling multiple and timely deliveries on a regular basis, while maintaining great customer service and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age or meet company insurance driver requirements.
  • Valid Massachusetts driver’s license.
  • Authorized to work within the U.S.
  • Will be subject to substance testing, CORI check per location requirements and annual driving record check.
  • Must be well groomed, customer orientated, and capable of interacting with customers.
  • Possess the ability to handle multiple orders and deliveries on a daily basis within a structured time frame.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English, with the ability to follow instructions.
  • Ability to work a schedule based on the business needs of the store location.
  • Authorized to work within the U.S.

Responsibilities

The list of essential functions is not exhaustive and may be supplemented as necessary by the company.

  • Handle each customer sales transaction in a courteous, friendly manner. Each customer will be extended a sincere, pleasant greeting and thanked when the transaction is completed. Always using proper customer service at time of delivery.
  • Effectively communicate any problems and issues with customers’ orders to deliveries at time of delivery.
  • Communicate any delivery schedule changes (late or early) with customers in a timely fashion.
  • Commit to the “Golden Rule” and work with other associates to build a strong e-commerce team.
  • Achieve the highest associate morale in the industry by working in a style that is Respectful, Supportive, and Totally Team Oriented (RSTO).
  • Coordinate orders and deliveries with shopping manager.
  • Stay in constant contact with the shopping manager in case of problems with deliveries or delivery times.
  • Coordinate customer orders from all temperature zones to the customer’s doors, and beyond upon customer request, in a timely fashion.
  • Work efficiently and at an acceptable pace; making timely and organized deliveries.
  • Effectively insure proper storage and shipping of orders limiting shrink and damaged goods.
  • Responsible for notifying the shopping manager of customer complaints, security problems and product problems.
  • Communicate needs and problems to the store manager and cooperating with store manager and department specialists to optimize the picking and delivery system.
  • Obey the laws and rules of the road.
  • Be safety conscious and correct or report any unsafe conditions you observe.
  • Report any damage, delivery vehicle problems, or property damage caused by vehicle or delivery equipment immediately with shopping manager or store manager in a timely fashion.
  • Maintain a neat and clean delivery vehicle in proper working order.
  • Keep accurate vehicle gas, service, temperature, and inspection logs.
  • Practicing good sanitation, safe food handling, neat housekeeping, proper hand washing, and food storage.
  • Practice the “Cleaner’s Creed” and proper sanitation procedures.

Secondary Job Functions:

  • Notify management of associate theft, customer shoplifting, unauthorized mark downs or property defacement.
  • Successful completion of the onboarding/e-learnings and checklist within 30 days of hire/entering the department.
  • Other duties assigned by management.

Hiring Range: In accordance with MA Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the hiring range for this position. At Roche Bros., we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to education, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. The hiring range for this position is $17.30 - $22.50 per hour.
